Hey what’s up? Yep, just two more weeks left. I can’t wait to get out of the MTC and into the real world and actually start teaching for reals. I cannot wait to get into the Taiwan culture. It’s nice having the Taiwan book to read, glad you packed that for me. I get my travel plans sometime this week and then start packing next week. As of now my departure date is April 20, but that could change. I'll know the definite date later this week. I told Erik about the good friends I made here that know him, I haven’t heard back from Erik in a couple weeks though. He has yet to respond to two of my letters (I hope he got them). That’s what bugs me about snail mail because I never know if people actually receive my letters or not. Thats funny Cameron borrowed my cane and yeah Krista wrote me about all the damage they had at their house, sad to hear about that and aunt Cindy's house. I guess our house got lucky being up on top of that hill of ours. Today is actually the first day we don’t have to wear a suit. Each Monday after conference they switch the rules in the MTC and you no longer have to wear a suit coat (love it, so comfortable now). Although, it keeps snowing and getting cold. I can't wait to be in the Taiwan heat. So excited! This last week was alright - nothing too exciting except for conference. First time I ever watched all of conference (without falling asleep) and not gonna lie, it wasn’t too shabby. My favorite talks were Elder Schwitzer's talk about judgment and Pres. Uchtdorf's talk on patience. I felt like I could relate to his story on learning a different language and having to be patient with it. It was nice hearing the words of the Lord's inspired servants. Even though everything was mostly directed towards parents, it was good. Just so you know you and dad didn’t need to take notes or anything because you two did the perfect job of raising us all. Sounds like you and dad had quite the time in the city, you lucky birthday girl you. I’m jealous. I miss the ward so much, so I love hearing how all those people are asking about me. I’m stoked to hear about Trav getting ready to receive his call. I haven’t heard from him since leaving so you’ll have to update me on that. Well Jared and Cristina's new life in Utah sounds exciting. That's cool grandma called to get my address, that will be nice to hear from her. Thanks for sharing all those scriptures with me. I love reading your little messages you share. The Chinese is going well. I’m really feeling comfortable with it, although I know I'll be shocked at how much I don’t know when I get to Taiwan. They say no one is ever really prepared to go out in the field, but you just do it trusting that the Lord will eventually provide. I’m ready and willing to do whatever it takes. I seriously cannot wait to get out there and teach the people in Taiwan. I have been praying for the Lord to prepare those people to hear my message and be ready to learn from me the purpose of life. I cannot wait to witness those miracles of finding those people who are prepared for that. Well I gotta run, I’m out of time. I can’t wait to hear from you again and get my next package...
wo ai ni (I love you),
Jeremy
