Last week in the MTC!

Last night was amazing because I got to see Corbin (my roommate during the summer) and Spencer (Travis' cousin that I became really good friends with)  because the BYU Men's Choir came and sang at the MTC and they're in it. They stayed until pretty late last night and just walked back to BYU so we had a lot of time to catch up and take pictures which was soooo cool. I missed those guys. So this is my last week! I am so so excited to get to Taiwan. I leave next Tuesday (April 20th) at 8:00 am. I have a 5 hour layover in L.A. from about 12:05 to 4:50. I think that will be the time I call you. I may possibly call you while I’m in SLC before I got to L.A. but we'll see (or i can just call you at both airports :)  Just a heads up, I’ll probably be buying some stuff at the bookstore before I go to Taiwan. There are a bunch of random little things that I need like pens, notebooks, etc.  Something exciting happened yesterday - I gave my first talk in sacrament meeting. I’m always so scared to go to sacrament meeting (complete opposite feeling than a person should have concerning sac. meeting). But I’m always scared/nervous because we never know who is going to give a talk until the branch president says 2 names just before we partake of the sacrament. It’s always a mystery/surprise so yesterday my name was called... did not see it coming at all but luckily I gave an awesome talk (all chinese) without any mistakes in pronunciation, tones, or grammar. The native chinese kids that are in my zone said to was the best talk they have heard since being here and the easiest for them to understand because my chinese was perfect and actually made sense (that’s coming from the elders who have english as their second language and chinese as their first). It was so awesome for me to hear that from them because it gave me so much more confidence with leaving for Taiwan soon. I now don’t feel as worried/nervous as I did before. Chinese is definitely becoming a lot more comfortable for me. Maybe that one month fast that Sally set up is what did the trick because I have definitely noticed a difference in my language skills in the past 2 weeks and especially yesterday during my talk. The “same old same old” is going on here at the MTC. I’m a little sad to leave the 2 really good friends I made here (the 3 of us together make up the Triad, that's our little name for ourselves). We're all serving in different areas around the world and I hope we'll still be close after these 2 years are up, time will tell.  I’m still trying to figure out what I’m gonna do with my stuff. I think I’ll do the MTC service thing and Justin can go pick that stuff up and then I might send a package back home to you...we'll see. I really need to start figuring all these things out this next week. Packing for the next 2 years is extremely stressful and they only give us like one day to do it and it’s next Monday... ahhh I hate all the stress from packing. But anyways I gotta run. I love you and miss you so much.  Tell everyone I say hi. I'll write you next week and talk to you on the phone!

wo ai nimen!

Love, jeremy
