So another week has gone by, nothing too exciting or out of the ordinary this last week. My last Saturday teaching appointment went very well. We taught another local Chinese woman, about mid 50s age, from Taiwan. It was really fun teaching her. She was just a very happy, exciting woman. It was so cool being able to understand everything she was saying and for being able to speak everything I wanted to say clearly enough for her to understand. My Chinese has definitely become a lot more comfortable to use but I still have some discouraging days when I have a very hard time speaking. It's weird, there are days when I just feel so comfortable speaking and understanding and then I have some days when I can’t even say things that I can normally say easily. I’m soooooooo excited for this next month to end. I just have a little more than 4 weeks and then I’m outta here. I can’t wait to get out of the MTC and into the mission field.
I loved your update you gave me on everything. I am so glad to hear you had a great birthday in the city and at the temple. I hope you got my birthday letter I sent you. I did get your package but a day late. I loved it though. My ankle has been feeling a little better but it can still hurt a lot randomly. It doesn’t hurt too much though, just every now and then I'll have some sharp pains (don’t get too freaked out). Thanks for the Elder Wirthlin quote, that quote is actually one I have read on a numerous occasions. love it. That’s exciting that you had four missionaries over for dinner, how did that go? I bet you told them all about me. There are a couple guys in my zone going to the New York, New York North mission, is that our mission? They’re going Chinese speaking though. So has dad come home from AZ yet to make up for missing your birthday? I want to hear all about his trip. I’m sure you’re reading this dad, so tell me about it asap. It’s kinda weird how I lived in AZ for 10 years and never went to the Grand Canyon (everyone always thinks thats so weird when I tell them that). Well I could still use those scripture covers by the way, so please send those and you know I love your snacks and pics so keep the packages coming. Tell everyone I miss and love them. I got to go now. Love and miss you so much mom, happy birthday again. Love and miss you too, dad. I hope your trip was great.
Love, Jeremy
