It's all Chinese from here on out.....

Ni hao,

So this week was alright. Nothing too exciting, except for today... I went through the temple with Tyler Pulsipher which was soooo cool. We met today as I was entering the temple so we went through together and I gave him some pointers about the MTC and mish, like what he should do to prepare and stuff, and then he filled me in on the real world and let me know I’m honestly not missing out on much at all. So I have been having experiences like the ones I shared with you last week. I’m always mixing Chinese grammar into my English...so funny. This Saturday we are teaching the first lesson all in Chinese. We did a practice run yesterday and it actually went surprisingly well. The words were flowing into my mind, it was cool. I really surprised myself with what I could say. I still have so much to learn for this Saturday. This week is the first week where it’s all Chinese. From here on out we are not suppose to speak English and if we do it can only be to someone who doesn’t speak Chinese and we have to first say what we want to say in Chinese and then translate it into English for them. So it’s gonna be pretty tough transitioning in only Chinese. Its also going to be hard being taught all in Chinese. I can only pick up bits and pieces of what the teachers are saying. I’m gonna really need the gift of tongues to kick in more than ever starting today. I really pray it will because I’m officially one of the oldest  missionaries (as far as time in the MTC) now that all the ones who were older than me left today for the field. The new missionaries coming into my zone get here on Wednesday and I’ve got to be ready to tutor them in Chinese like the older missionaries did for me. I’m worried because my Chinese isn’t as good as the older missionaries when I first arrived. Hopefully this week I learn a ton. Keep the packages and treats coming. I always love getting them. Thanks! I also really enjoyed Justin’s blog you shared with me...fun to read that.  Well time’s up and I gotta run. Sorry this letter is pretty boring. I'll see what I can do this week so I can ensure an exciting letter next week. Miss you and love you both so much.

Love, Jeremy
