A meaningful Easter focused on Christ
I had an AWESOME Easter! It was so much fun. Seriously, I loved this Easter weekend. The Byers and the Chens treated us really well to dinner and games yesterday. I love those 2 families so much. The Byers are so cool. I really want you to meet all of these people so badly. They all want to meet you as well. You should come pick me up at the end of my mission. I totally can’t wait to show you around here and introduce you to the branch. We had our branch Easter program last week because yesterday was the stake Easter program as well as stake conference. It was AMAZING. The spirit was just burning up in that building. I love hearing people like stake presidents, their counselors, and mission president speak. These men truly are called of God and know exactly how to lead the people they have stewardship over. Thanks so much for the package! I loved all the candy and especially enjoyed the articles about the Savior. I read them all. I spent all week studying the Savior, His atonement, resurrection, and earthly ministry. I was telling dad how crazy it is with all the Christians here in California. There are churches on every corner and every person we talk to has a strong belief in Christ. I’m so happy there are so many people that recognize Christ as our Savior but at the same time its sad to me how they don’t have a complete knowledge of everything he has done. The Book of Mormon testifies more about the Savior and mentions more about His atonement than any other book of scripture. I studied so much about Him, this week especially and have a stronger appreciation for all the things He did for us. I tried my hardest to not get caught up in all the candy and eggs and focus more on the real meaning of Easter this year. It definitely made it more meaningful and special.
