End of first transfer (move call)

Yep, I’m definitely getting to see some pretty amazing sites! I love Taiwan. Everything about this place is so great. There really isn’t any other place I’d rather be serving or language I would rather speak. I love chinese. I enjoy studying the language so much. I’m so glad you were able to see all of those pictures I sent. I just re-sent last weeks pics that dad didn’t receive so I hope he got them this time... let me know.  One of the local RMs attends the ward I serve in, he’s a really close friend of mine now. we're actually meeting up for lunch today and he regularly teaches lessons with us which is so awesome (he’s our number one for member sit down lessons with investigators). I really hope he and I will be able to stay in touch and hang out at BYU after the mish, he’s way cool!

We just baptized this awesome girl yesterday (the one I met in the English class I teach). She has such a strong testimony and it was great to perform her baptism yesterday. It’s so amazing to see how much the gospel changes peoples lives. It’s a real testimony builder for me. I actually just wrote you and dad a handwritten letter about this but to give a little preview I just talked about how much I have changed and how my testimony grows by witnessing the transformation in people’s lives. You should be getting that letter in a little over a week. I think once-a-transfer I will write a nice handwritten letter home. 

Taiwan is way way HOT. I attached a picture of what I look like after running 2 miles in the blazing heat (I don’t know if it does justice or not but I am completely soaked in sweat). I sweat so much everyday, my collars on my shirt are beginning to get gross.

 

So it looks like we will finish the move call (transfer) with 4 solid baptisms (one short of our goal but its all good). It’s not looking like I will move. Elder Beus says its about a 90 percent chance both of us will stay. He says I will move on my 3rd move call though (you only have the same companion for 2 move calls at the longest). We'll see what happens. I really like Xihu but i think it would be cool to move to a big city. Well I gotta run. Thanks for the update on everything. I can’t wait to hear more next week. The letter I sent you and dad should arrive soon (feel free to add some things from that on the blog or ward mission letter).
